Spring Denim: Light Wash Ankle Crop Jeans

Hi Friends,

It’s Sunday Fun Day! I’m playing pickleball (my current obsession) this morning. I love it and play whenever I can, which is about 4 times a week. It’s so much fun and great exercise!

Suddenly I’m feeling the “need” to update my denim washes. I’ve put on some weight and have stopped trying to squeeze into my past size. I’m so about being comfortable these days! It doesn’t help that I’m working retail and have access to so many great styles! Most of what I earn seems to go toward shopping!

Today I’m styling an easy ankle length crop jean…the Citizens of Humanity Daphne Crop. I love the relaxed fit, especially since it’s not stretch denim. It’s a high waisted, stovepipe silhouette that fits with ease through the thigh. While I do love the comfort of stretch denim, it’s nice to have a go-to jean for days when I’m not feeling tight jeans! For shoes try a chunky platform sandal. I’m wearing a fun retro print tie-up Martha Shirt from Ba&sh. It’s so reminiscent of the 70’s style! It looks great with a light wash jean or short, or a cream pant.

Here I’m doing denim on denim with this easy to wear weightless denim shirt from Good American. It has a soft, lightweight feel and is perfect worn over a tee or buttoned up with jeans for a monochromatic look. It also comes in a lighter wash for a different vibe. For a sporty look I’m sporting my favorite white kicks.
