We’re Harriet and Wendy, a couple of Southern California “gals” who have been best friends for over a decade. Our friendship was inevitable for lots of reasons, but primarily because we have so much in common.
Meet Harriet:
I’m originally from Pittsburgh but have lived in Southern Cal almost all my life. I have an amazing daughter who is also my best friend. She is recently married, so now I have a son and three grand dogs! I’m in a loving relationship with my forever guy and couldn’t be happier. My family and friends are everything, as is my 9-year-old Frenchie!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for fashion. I also love being outside near the ocean whether exercising or just enjoying the view. I walk the strand between 4-8 miles several times weekly, in addition to taking Pilates and riding my Peloton.
Meet Wendy:
I am a happily single gal surrounded by an amazing daughter, fabulous extended family, great friends, and an adorable rescue dog named Ashton. Born and raised in Southern California, I now live between my home here and my vacation house in the wine country.
I spend much of my free time gardening, redecorating my home (and helping others if they ask), cooking, and doing floral arranging. Passionate about travel, I love discovering and learning anything new. I try to stay active; I walk, ride my Peloton and take Pilates classes.
About Us:
We each had a 30+ year career in the fashion industry. We met at Guess where we were senior executives responsible for merchandising three separate divisions. Now we both work at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM). It’s important for us to give back whenever we can.
Our careers have allowed us some fantastic opportunities. We have travelled to many amazing places, enjoyed unique experiences, and have tasted some truly exquisite cuisine (maybe that’s why we love wine and food so much!). We’ve been lucky enough to have created many such extraordinary memories that probably would not have been possible otherwise.
Over the past several years, we both had an epiphany. We love fashion and our lives were definitely enhanced by our careers. We felt it was time to retool, reinvent, and certainly reinvigorate. Life absolutely changes in the middle phase, but we believe it also completely improves!
In addition to fashion, we want to explore other aspects of great style: interesting places to travel, fabulous food and wine, unique new experiences, ways to stay healthy and fit…. you get the picture. We decided to start this space to share and learn from other women who feel the same way.
