How to Style Wide Leg Jeans
Wide legged jeans are hardly a new silhouette for spring, but this season they are THE fit to own! Whether baggy and slouchy, or sleek and classic, there are many great styles to choose from.
When it comes to wide legs that are perfect for everyday, you can’t go wrong with a faded blue wash. I love the Ayla cropped cuffed jean from Citizens of Humanity. The high waist and wide bottom give a proportionate look to any body type. I sized down 1 size as it is a looser fit. The cuff can also be taken down to extend the length. The Ayla jean is a key style for this brand, offered in multiple denim washes and colors. The newest proportion in the wide leg trend is the slouchy fit. It looks best worn with a fitted top which in my case is a denim vest from Evereve. When styling denim on denim, I like a dark to light contrast. My casual Autry Silver Sneakers add a pop of color!
BIG AND BAGGY: This season the proportions have become even slouchier! I love the super slouchy laid back style. My AMO Low Slung Baggy Sandra Jeans really fit the bill. I sized down 1 size as they are intended to be loose. They’re low slung which is a welcome alternative to wearing a high waist. Add a graphic tee and oversize blazer to complete the look. I’m wearing Tina Turner from Evereve with my favorite black jacket. Sneaks are Autry Medalist in white with gold. LA Dodgers Baseball Cap
There is a fit for everyone! Wendy chose to participate in the wide leg jean trend with a mid-rise waist and loose, straight fit. This Levi 501 90's Jean is perfect! Another great feature is the lightweight fabric which makes it oh so comfortable. Her super soft henley tee and zip up hoodie are both from Splendid. Sneakers are P448.
Try a darker wide leg jean for a more polished look! The Frame Le Slim Palazzo has a high rise waist, fitted hip and a subtle wide leg. The long length is perfect for Wendy’s Beek chunky heeled clog. Her sophisticated, classic style shines through with the Theory v-neck cardi and Banana Republic cap sleeve tee.
These are only a few of the many styling options for the wide leg denim trend!
