“Think Pink” Summer to Fall
The color of the season certainly has been pink! Clearly The Barbie Movie marketing and the immense popularity of the film has put pink in the spotlight. However pink has always been a go-to color for me. Maybe because I have fair coloring so it works or maybe because my aesthetic tends towards feminine…Either way, pink is one of my favorites!
In the last few weeks, I have found some fun new pink styles. Starting with the Stateside top shown above, this is a great transition piece from summer into fall. I love the slit neckline and the side ruching. Plus the color is just the perfect shade of pink!
If you are not a pink lover but simply want to pop an outfit, I love these earrings from Anthropologie. Although the pink is sold out, the cascading petal ear in gold or silver is still available on the site
I also am obsessed with the Deanna sandal from Paige.. Deanna is a flat sandal designed with a soft square toe, braided straps, an ankle wrap in soft metallic pink leather, Deanna pairs perfectly with cropped denim or flirty dresses. And they are currently on sale at Paige for $113.90.
The top I am wearing with these adorable sandals is from Splendid. The Striped Lola Sleeveless Top is perfect for our Southern California weather. It’s such an easy style: collarless silhouette, shirred shoulders and front buttons that can be worn tucked or tied. And the good news is that it’s now on sale for $89.00.
But pink is not just for summer! The colors may become a bit deeper but it still works with your fall wardrobe. Case in point: this Grandfather Cardigan from Bloomingdales is the perfect transition piece. It can be dressed up for the office or dressed down for casual week -ends.
I am a big fan of C by Bloomingdale cashmere line. It’s reasonably priced (this sweater is $188.00) but it is frequently discounted. The C by Bloomingdales line has been around for 20 years so the quality has been perfected. It is 2 ply cashmere which is ultra soft and luxurious. Plus I appreciate the styling. There are the basic cashmere styles for sure but they also do more updated and interesting pieces. Case in point is the Printed Ombre Stripe sweater shown below.
