Ageless Style Directory: Spring Transition into Stripes

This has certainly been a winter to remember. From the massive storms on the East Coast to the continuous rain in California, it’s been quite a ride. I am not sure how you feel about it, but we are definitely ready for a change in weather!

Transitioning from winter to spring can be challenging. It’s still cold…even here in Southern California! But we don’t want to keep buying coats, jackets and mufflers. A great solution is to purchase sweaters that can move from season to season. And a great choice is classic striped sweaters, particularly ribbed stripes.

Harriet is wearing the striped button shoulder Sanctuary top. She paired it with Velvet wide leg pants, with a logo belt and New Balance sneakers. This look is fun and casual but can easily be made warmer for winter weather. Just pop on a puffer or puffer vest and you are ready to go.

I am wearing the same Sanctuary striped sweater but in a very different manner. Worn with Paige jeans and Paul Green loafers, it is a perfect look for warmer So Cal days; but it can be updated with a knit jacket if necessary.

And even if the Sanctuary button shoulder style isn’t for you, there are so many choices at various price points. We tend to prefer ribbed styles because of the snug fit but there are many options to chose from. Here are just a few styles that you might like.

As you can see by the above styles, there are lots of choices, lots of color ways and prices for every taste. From a Theory stripe at $315.00 to a Tommy Hilfiger style on sale for $41.00, there is something for everyone. Click on each pic to see the specifics and where you can purchase.

If all over stripes aren’t for you, another terrific option is a placed stripe sweater. This one is from Evereve; I love the whole collegiate vibe. Black and white is such a classic combination. If this is more your style, I have some fun options below.

Striped sweaters are such a great way to start that winter to spring wardrobe update. Hopefully one of our suggestions will work for you. Looking forward we will be posting some more ideas that will help get you into a spring mood.
